Vaccination Causes Autism – Say US Government & Merck’s Director of Vaccines

A New Scientist article 29 June 2010 by Jim Giles states:-

We still do not know what causes autism.

Desperate measures: The lure of an autism cure

That is not correct. Here we set out four ways autistic conditions are caused and confirmed by statements from the current President of pharmaceutical giant Merck’s Vaccines Division, by US Government agencies, by the US Federal Court and in formally published academic journal papers.

If you read nothing else we strongly recommend you read this PDF Download – Text of May 5th 2008 email from US HRSA to Sharyl Attkisson of CBS News].  In it the US Health Resources Services Administration [HRSA] state to CBS News reporter Sharyl Attkisson

We have compensated cases in which children exhibited an encephalopathy, or general brain disease. Encephalopathy may be accompanied by a medical progression of an array of symptoms including autistic behavior, autism, or seizures. [Text added 10 April 2011]

The first known cause of autism was rubella virus. So not only is New Scientist an unreliable source of information, this cause of autism has been known since the 1960s. And rubella virus is one of the three live viruses in the MMR vaccine.

… rubella (congenital rubella syndrome) is one of the few proven causes of autism.”  Walter A. Orenstein, M.D. US as Assistant Surgeon General, Director National Immunization Program in a letter to the UK’s Chief Medical Officer 15 February 2002.

People who are pre-disposed to have a mitochondrial dysfunction can develop autistic conditions following vaccination.  The current President of Merck’s Vaccines Division, Julie Gerberding confirmed to CBS News when she was Director of the US Centres for Disease Control that:

Now, we all know that vaccines can occasionally cause fevers in kids. So if a child was immunized, got a fever, had other complications from the vaccines. And if you’re predisposed with the mitochondrial disorder, it can certainly set off some damage. Some of the symptoms can be symptoms that have characteristics of autism.

HOUSE CALL WITH DR. SANJAY GUPTA – Unraveling the Mystery of Autism; Talking With the CDC Director; Stories of Children with Autism; Aging with Autism – Aired March 29, 2008 – 08:30   ET

Mitochondrial dysfunction is claimed to be “rare” but is not.  It can apply to a minimum of 20% of cases.

And this was said when Gerberding was then head of the US Centres for Disease Control – budget US$11 billion.  It followed from  award winning author and journalist David Kirby breaking the story of the Hannah Poling case, secretly settled by the US Government.  It was after this story broke that it started to be acknowledged that autism has an “environmental” cause and is not solely an “internal” condition [ie not determined solely by genetics]: AUTISM – US Court Decisions and Other Recent Developments – It’s Not Just MMR

Gerberding went from the US agency charged with promoting vaccines [CDC] directly to become vaccine maker Merck’s Director of Vaccines Division: Dr. Julie Gerberding Named President of Merck Vaccines21 Dec 2009 – Merck & Co., Inc.

Autistic conditions can result from encephalopathy following vaccination.  The US Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) confirmed to CBS News that of 1322 cases of vaccine injury compensation settled out of court by the US Government in secret settlements:-

We have compensated cases in which children exhibited an encephalopathy, or general brain disease. Measles and mumps are two of the three live viruses in the MMR vaccine. Exposure to live measles or mumps viruses can cause encephalitis:-

measles and mumps can cause significant disability, including encephalitis

The Pediatrician’s Role in the Diagnosis and Management of Autistic Spectrum Disorder in Children – PEDIATRICS Vol. 107 No. 5 May 2001

So there is direct evidence that live measles, mumps or rubella viruses separately can cause encephalitis leading to autism.

More troubling is that this has been known for a long time.  So the risks of giving very young children a vaccine containing three live viruses all at once were known. These two World Health Organisation papers published nearly 40 years ago set out the hazards:

Virus-associated immunopathology : animal models and implications for human disease”:

1. Effects of viruses on the immune system, immune-complex diseases, and antibody-mediated immunologic injury Bulletin of The World Health Organisation. 1972; 47(2): 257-264.

2. Cell-mediated immunity, autoimmune diseases, genetics, and implications for clinical research Bulletin of the World Health Organisation. 1972; 47(2): 265-274.

Autistic conditions can result from acute disseminated encephalomyelitis (ADEM) following MMR vaccination as held by the US Federal Court in the case of Bailey Banks.  In his conclusion, US Federal Court Special Master Abell ruled that Petitioners had proven that the MMR had directly caused a brain inflammation illness called acute disseminated encephalomyelitis (ADEM) which, in turn, had caused the autism spectrum disorder PDD-NOS in the child:

The Court found that Bailey’s ADEM was both caused-in-fact and proximately caused by his vaccination. It is well-understood that the vaccination at issue can cause ADEM, and the Court found, based upon a full reading and hearing of the pertinent facts in this case, that it did actually cause the ADEM. Furthermore, Bailey’s ADEM was severe enough to cause lasting, residual damage, and retarded his developmental progress, which fits under the generalized heading of Pervasive Developmental Delay, or PDD [an autism spectrum disorder]. The Court found that Bailey would not have suffered this delay but for the administration of the MMR vaccine, and that this chain of causation was… a proximate sequence of cause and effect leading inexorably from vaccination to Pervasive Developmental Delay.

[Banks v. HHS (Case 02-0738V, 2007 U.S. Claims LEXIS 254, July 20, 2007)].

And what does not cause autism?

Autism is not “caused” by “genes”

Dr Francis S. Collins, M.D., Ph.D. the 16th and current Director of the US$30.5 billion budget National Institutes of Health [nominated by President Obama: NIH News Release 17th August 2009 ] stated in evidence to US House of Representatives Committee May 2006 when Director of the US National Human Genome Research Institute:

Recent increases in chronic diseases like diabetes, childhood asthma, obesity or autism cannot be due to major shifts in the human gene pool as those changes take much more time to occur. They must be due to changes in the environment, including diet and physical activity, which may produce disease in genetically predisposed persons.

Francis S. Collins, M.D., Ph.D. evidence to US House of Representatives Committee May 2006

Collins controls the US $30.5 billion annual medical research budget and is a leading medical doctor and geneticist who led the Human Genome Project.

Autistic conditions affect 1 in 100 US children.  They affect 1 in 64 British children [1 in 40 are boys] according to a Cambridge University study.

ESTIMATING AUTISM SPECTRUM PREVALENCE IN THE POPULATION: A SCHOOL BASED STUDY FROM THE UK

Conclusions: The prevalence estimate of known cases of ASC, using different methods of ascertainment converges around 1%. 1. The “dysfunctional mitochondria” can cause autism as they are producing more damaging free radicals than normal mitochondria. Mitochondria made toxic by ethylmercury, released by thimerosal, would do the same thing as the tightest binding site for mercury in the body is in the “iron sulfur centers” of the electron transport chain that carries the ‘electron’ used normally to produce the mitochondrial pH gradient that makes energy in the form of ATP. Ethylmercury blocking of this transport chain leads to the production of hydroxyl free radicals by release of the electron to react with water. This causes oxidative stress and low reduced glutathione levels as observed in autism and many neurological illnesses.

  2. Thank you, chs, for a nice, succinct summary of the evidence.

There’s more, but that will do for a start.

I have seen on comment threads the argument that if it weren’t for, eg, the MMR, there would be more cases of encephalitis from the wild viruses circulating, so we’re still better off with the vaccines than without. This argument ignores the fact this effect of vaccines shows that they are not the great ‘safe and effective’ medical modalities that they have been portrayed as, and so calls into question their other side effects; which we know include arthritis/arthralgia, alllergies/asthma, ADD/ADHD/dyslexia/dyspraxia (and other neurological disorders, like ASD and convulsions/seizures/epilepsy), CFS/ME, type1 diabetes (and other autoimmune disorders, like MS) – the list goes on. And second, it calls to the public’s attention that there are other treatments for the childhood diseases, that don’t have the damnable side effects to them that the vaccines have – are now conclusively proven to have, and to considerable extents (see the appalling amount of chronic diseases afflicting the public these days; iatrogenically initiated). So that we need to cultivate a major input from Complementary Medicine into our medical practice – and stat.

  3. A helpful article which discloses what most of us already know.
Despite this, we keep getting bombarded with more and more insane propaganda from the medical establishment.
Makes you wonder whether the people who keep saying the vaccine program is really a disguised eugenics program to depopulate the earth aren’t being more truthful than the medical establishment.
    Quite sad.

  5. Hi CHS. very interesting article although I am not yet sold on a link between vaccination and autism. While I’m sure the references above are accurate, as a layperson myself I think there must be some doubt that the conclusions you are drawing from them are entirely valid.

I know that congenital rubella has been shown to be responsible for numerous abnormalities at birth, but that is due to the mother being infected during the 1st trimester. Rrubella infection after birth causes none of these abnormalities. The hypotheses that rubella vaccination can cause autism, would also mean that rubella infection as an infant would also have to cause autism, and I haven’t seen any evidence of this.

Similarly, in the case of encephalitis, if measles vaccination in the form of MMR causes encephalitis-induced ‘autism’, then wouldn’t encephalitis from measles infection also lead to autism? From what I have read, encephalitis from measles is more common than from MMR, so if the encephalitis link were plausible, wouldn’t infants infected with measles be more likely to become autistic that those vaccinated with MMR?

[ED: We had never before had almost all infants in a nation given three live viruses together which viruses are known separately to be environmental triggers for autistic conditions. We also had never before universally artificially introduced such viruses to children by direct injection into the body at 12-15 months. Natural infection occurs by other mechanisms. Natural infections also occur at all ages and not just at 12-15 months. We also did not combine this before with a series of different kinds of vaccines also given at very early ages – and all at a time when the infant brain is developing rapidly. Lots of differences – the one similarity is the propensity of the pathogen to cause conditions from which autistic conditions can result.

    We suggest you:-

    1) read the WHO papers cited;

    2) reconsider the position of giving very young children three live viruses in combination at the same time each of which on its own can cause a condition leading to autism, as the cited American Academy of Pediatricians paper confirms;

    3) take into account the mumps dose was quadrupled from 5000 TCIDs in the single mumps vaccine to 20,000 TCIDs in MMR – so kids were given 4 times the single mumps dose in combination with measles and rubella viruses – all viruses known to be associated with causing conditions from which autism can be the end result];

  6. Stan, please, would you post your “more” here, even if it’s incomplete. When skeptics ask for evidence of a link between autism and vaccines, it’s handy to be able to direct them to one good reference (see recent CNN article which could use comments: http://www.cnn.com/2010/OPINION/06/28/parikh.childhood.vaccines/ (Dr. Rahul K. Parikh writing “No vaccine-autism link: Get kids shots”)

  9. Nice job gathering and summarizing Vax info. It’s obvious that vaccines can trigger autism, the Govt has already agreed.

The other side of the evidence is UNVACCINATED POPULATIONS HAVE ZERO AUTISM.

I believe I read that GENERATION RESCUE.org is funding? a study between vaccinated and unvaccinated. They have already completed one study using same methods as CDC that CLEARLY shows the relationship between vaccines and autism

  11. As a child I had all the usual diseases, german measles, measles, chicken pox, mumps etc etc etc. I had no complications from these illnesses, I come from a family of 8 children and all my siblings too had these diseases. Even though I come from a large family we we always well nourished , dressed and kept in a comfortable home. I have come to the conclusion that these childhood illnesses are actually more of a risk to third world children than western children due to malnourishment, bad water, cold etc. So in my mind rather than vaccination which we know can cause a myriad of complications through the WHO, put money into their communities to make these children well naturally ? Its just an idea whirling around in my mind. That way if a child does get a childhood disease the chances of complications are small compared to the percentage of children having reactions to the vaccine.

  12. We as parents have known for years that vaccines cause Autism , in Great Britain it has been quoted as 1 in 48 boys , i saw my son regress into Autism after his MMR vaccine it is time to take responsibility vaccine manufacturers , it is time to stop the pain of many parents , it is time to pay compensation , what type of life does my child have to live when his parents are no longer here

  13. Can someone show me the bit where “US Government & Merck’s Director of Vaccines” says “Vaccination Causes Autism”?

    R.

  14. Hey, whaddya know? Autism IS “caused” by “genes”:

“In the largest study ever into the genetics of autism, researchers have identified variations that are more common in children with the condition, raising hopes of earlier diagnosis and better treatments….The identification of a range of rare genetic mutations by an international collaboration known as the Autism Genome Project, involving scientists in the US, Canada and Europe, will further undermine the arguments of those who have claimed that the MMR vaccine, against measles, mumps and rubella, is somehow to blame.”
    http://www.guardian.co.uk/science/2010/jun/09/autism-study-genetic-causes

  15. Ha. Not only is it scientifically impossible for the explosion in numbers of children with autistic conditions to be “caused” by genes, this “study” was a letter whose authors include Christopher Gillberg a convicted criminal.

Gillberg was accused of making up his research results and when ordered by a Court to disclose the data in anonymised form he destroyed it and was convicted for doing so.

That says a lot about the signatories of this “letter” that they put their name alongside a convicted criminal accused of faking his results. NOT A SHRED OF EVIDENCE Are scientists faking data on ADHD?

Another author is Professor Michael Rutter – a psychiatrist not a geneticist. You can read about the “quality” of his research work here: Japanese & British Data Show Vaccines Cause Autism

Great science too. Most of the control group were women averaging 39 years of age. Bizarrely for a “scientific” letter, the profile of the autism cases was not reported. It was certainly disproportionately male and vastly younger than 39. A profound mismatch of gender and age.

The majority of results were also negative. Essentially no in the mutation rate between autistic subjects and controls. The letter writers found no difference in Copy Number Variations between cases and controls: no excess of CNVs in terms of the number of CNVs per sample, the percentage of samples with CNVs, the total amount of affected DNA, or the average size of CNVs. Nor were there any differences between families with a single child (simplex) or multiple affected (multiplex) children.

The only relevant finding was the alleged location of the CNVs in autism cases – claimed to be on active genes. The authors claimed autistic genome more frequently demonstrated stretches of lost DNA—deletions–on such genes. This finding goes nowhere in explaining causation. The entire set of protein-coding human genes is roughly 21,000.

There weren’t any material differences in deletion rates on the genes of highest interest.

New Autism Consortium Study Proves (Again) that Inherited Genes Don’t Cause Autism

More could be said but that is enough.

  20. I have said all along that vaccines are a form of Genetic eugenics. It explains why “some” kids have reactions and develop autism and some don’t. I beleive this is a way for TPTB to weed out the weaker breeding stock, ( people with dna defects etc… Such as the Mitochondrial dysfunction mentioned.) since their goal is a world of perfection, perfect genetic structure, perfect body size , etc, etc….

  21. Dear CHS, much as it pains me to defend the med establishment or a famous professor, Prof Gillberg destroyed his data in the context that he had given a confidentiality undertaking to the subjects and was being threatened by legal force to allow a breach thereof. That doesn’t sound a very shameful criminal act to me. He could have escaped the conviction by betraying his subjects’ trust and undermining the whole basis of patient involvement in research. Fine with you?
But carry on attacking the enemy with whatever excuse.
Rather you should retract your libel there.

[ED: Incorrect. There was no threatened breach of confidentiality. Another two researchers wanted to examine the research data as Gilberg’s data and claimed results were questionable. The confidentiality was never at risk. Gilberg destroyed the data, as you note in a criminal act.]

  27. What exactly is the pro-vax argument against the “too many too soon” argument from anti-vaxers? I mean- what studies have been done to show that giving a newborn baby – before any kind of tests have been done on their systems – a shot containing a bunch of toxins is perfectly safe, and that to load them up again with multiple shots in one visit a couple months later is also perfectly safe and doesn’t have any cumulative effect on the baby’s system?
Can anyone point me to those studies that anti-vaxer’s must be ignoring or something? I’ve never seen them myself, but I assume, since you all are so pro-vaxing, and dismissive of the “too many too soon” concern, that they must exist…
I mean, doesn’t it seems at least a little weird that, as a parent, you are advised to protect your baby from eating any kinds of *foods* before 6 months of age (only supposed to have breast milk, and secondly formula) and to avoid “special foods” before 1 year (eggs, honey, peanut butter, etc…) because eating them can lead to some major issues with the child’s intestinal system – causing food allergies or illnesses and whatnot… Clearly a baby’s system is still developing and is very VERY sensitive to “foreign foods.”
And YET, giving them a shot – on their first day of life – directly into their bloodstream – of known toxic substances, clearly quite foreign…is somehow “perfectly fine.”
I don’t get it. Can someone on “your” side of the fence explain this to me? I’m very open to hearing an explanation of how that works…

  32. I read your ‘2’ WHO articles…both links lead to the same article, which discusses the hazards of infection by live viruses i.e. natural infection, not vaccination with attenuated viruses. Vaccines do not cause infection, they only produce immunological memory. All of your arguments here about the dangers of measles, mumps and rubella just demonstrate the danger of these diseases and the importance of vaccination!
I would encourage all of your readers to read your sources for themselves, not just your interpretation of them.

  33. […] I read a great article linking autism to vaccines, namely the MMR vaccine, based on the words coming directly from pharmaceutical giant Merck and the US Government. Read it here. […]

  34. I’m not going to discredit the possibility of the link to vaccines, in fact, the are so many variables to consider. When looking at numbers suggesting that it could not possibly be genetic may be true for the ACGT line-up itself, but if you zoom out and look at epigenetics, environmental conditions our grandmothers are subjected to also impact us. http://www.pnas.org/content/103/46/17071.full I am implying that there is real possibility that a grandmother exposed to a pesticide in 1960 impacted her epigenetics and her future grandchildren’s epigenetic environment. And in this model you would see numbers change this fast. There are several studies, and if I weren’t on my delete everything when I change a tab ipad, I would link you to another study demonstrating the effects on phenotype from grandmothers going through times of starvation. I believe these studies were based off populations in Greenland, where the influx of other peoples were small, the population study is interesting.

Also we have had a huge spike in SSRI intake, which were believed to be safer than being suicidal during pregnancy, and many women have taken them during pregnancy. Obviously SSRIs affect serotonin, and in a developing fetus this can’t be good for their developing brain.

I have not vaccinated my children with the MMR, I believe the connection is too strong. Was my mom exposed to some chemical during her growth, I haven’t taken a SSRI during pregnancy, but what if something I or my mom was exposed to altered our epigenetics in such a way that when my child is fighting off those particular diseases, they end up with an encephalitic event? We’ve had too much chemical exposure over the past 100 years, which makes a direct pinpoint very hard.

Both my husband and I had adverse reactions to vaccines. My husband actually developed the symptoms of all three diseases in the MMR. I had the typical febrile convulsion, many children get when the fever occurs suddenly.

So now I find myself looking at the statistics of bad events from the actual diseases, including the flu vs the statistics of adverse side effects of vaccines. How bad would I feel if my kid dies from the measles, how bad would I feel if after doing this much research my kid ends up autistic from a vaccine? I need some studies on kids beginning their vaccines at older ages, they are 5 and 7 now, am I in the clear? What is the efficacy of any of these vaccines? The UK has numbers of measles cases increasing especially in the age range of those not vaccinated in the early millennia. But how many are getting real sick?

[ED: The issue here is that officials confirmed to US national broadcast news on behalf of two US health agencies the link between vaccines and autism and biological mechanisms. This was when the Hannah Poling story broke in 2008 of a child who developed an autistic condition after receiving 9 vaccines in one day. When that included the Director of the US Centers for Disease Control giving that confirmation and the organisation responsible for compensation payments it is highly significant and shows US health officials know vaccines cause autistic conditions but spend the rest of their time denying there is any possibility of a link in direct contradiction of those admissions.]

  35. Not Greenland, here’s the starvation study I am referring to: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/%C3%96verkalix_study there is also another one from the Netherlands during the Dutch famine of 1944.

Both studies indicate you will see changes based on the environment of our grandparents. What were the grandparents of all these autistic kids exposed to, is that contributing?

[ED: Wikipedia is a questionable source which can be edited by anyone including people who seem to spend all their spare hours on it and 9 year old children so it is not a source which can be considered particularly reliable].

  37. In response to Pea (immunologist) of the comment from May 2013: I’m very concerned that someone with your [xxxxxx] level of comprehension is involved in immunology.

First: The two memos attached to the WHO report were well-researched and distinctly different “papers” in their own rights.

Second: In persons with suppressed immune function (even smallpox exposure historically left innumerable people entirely without symptoms; of course, you knew that, right?), wild pathogens may proliferate sufficiently to create toxins or immune cell interactions with antigens that lead to encephalopathy, but your claim that vaccines “only produce immunological memory” is xxxxxxxxxxx [incorrect] (if you are an immunologist, as you claim).

Third: Vaccines cause production of antibodies, and even do *that* ineffectually in a larger percentage of vaccinees than you would ever admit. They quite often cause precisely the disease for which the person is vaccinated (in the case of live-pathogen vaccines, and particularly in those who are immune-compromised). For those who are counting, that’s xxxxxxxxxxx [inaccuracy] number two.

Fourth: The metabolic pathways by which an inflammatory (cytokine storm) response to either vaccine antigens or vaccine adjuvants leads to encephalopathy/encephalitis/encephalomyelitis – in a far greater percentage of the population than admitted by vaccine manufacturers or their mouthpiece organizations – are so well documented that as an “immunologist” you certainly are aware that a live pathogen is not required for that response to take place.

Strike three. You’re out. You are unqualified to give me advice on how to protect my well-nourished children from the infinitesimal odds of contracting and then suffering disease symptoms and lasting harm from wild pathogens, especially when I am keenly aware of medical treatments (even for the most dangerous childhood illnesses) that are more effective than vaccines (immunoglobulin for tetanus, as just one example).

We are comprised of more microbes than human cells. Please stop trying to terrify people of microbes and direct your efforts to showing them how to maintain a healthy internal microbiome so that potential pathogens cannot proliferate in numbers that cause disease states. This should be the entire focus of immunology for the future, and not development of 1000 new vaccines.

    [ED: Some edits.

And whoever Pea is, you are right, Pea is not an immunologist or if Pea is, then Pea is a negligent one.

Vaccines do cause infection, and particularly live virus vaccines. It is well-known that live polio vaccine causes polio and 5% of MMR vaccine recipients develop symptoms of clinical measles. Pea’s “only immunological memory” is junk pseudoscience.

Appparently there are people who go around the web doing what Pea did here. We do not know if they are paid to do it.]

[…] American children and children worldwide have developed autistic conditions in their millions with the amazing figure of around 1 family in every 25 in the USA with an affected child thanks to the CDC Director and employees.  That is vastly higher than pretty much anything else put together including the diseases the vaccines are alleged to protect against.  Of course they claim that vaccines don’t cause autism. “Its a mystery” they say but bizarrely the one thing they are sure of “its not vaccines“, even when it has been confirmed in the past that vaccines can and by leading health officials and agencies through gritted teeth when publicly embarrassed by media attention: Vaccination Causes Autism – Say US Government & Merck’s Director of Vaccines. […]

  41. Thank you for this article. It made me more confident with my decision to get my son who wad born with autism his vaccines.

  42. […] This admission is huge, as encephalopathy following vaccination is a known trigger of autistic symptoms, and something that the confidential documents from the UK also admit. GSK, the British government and various other players all kept this information under wraps, even after brave souls like Dr. Andrew Wakefield came forward publicly with data linking the MMR vaccine to autism-related health outcomes.Reading between the lines, health authorities have, in fact, linked MMR to autism — but they won’t come right out and say it. Rubella, for instance, the German measles component of MMR, has been known to be a cause of autism since the 1960s. The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has admitted this publicly, as has the National Immunization Program (now the National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases). Even Merck & Co. a major manufacturer of MMR vaccines, has admitted that vaccines in general can cause autism.“[R]ubella (congenital rubella syndrome) is one of the few proven causes of autism,” stated Walter A. Orenstein, M.D., former Assistant Surgeon General and Director of the National Immunization Program, in a 2002 letter to the UK’s Chief Medical Officer.“[R]ubella virus is one of the few known causes of autism,” explained the CDC on its “FAQs (frequently asked questions) about MMR Vaccine & Autism” page, which has since been removed from public view. It is still available in some web archives.Dr. Julie Gerberding, M.D., M.P.H., the current President of Merck’s Vaccines Division, is also on record as admitting that people with a predisposition to mitochondrial dysfunction can develop autism following vaccination. A minimum of 20 percent of vaccine-induced autism cases are associated with mitochondrial dysfunction.“Now, we all know that vaccines can occasionally cause fevers in kids,” stated Dr. Gerberding back in 2008 during a segment on House Call with Dr. Sanjay Gupta titled “Unraveling the Mystery of Autism.”“So if a child was immunized, got a fever, had other complications from the vaccines. And if you’re predisposed with the mitochondrial disorder, it can certainly set off some damage. Some of the symptoms can be symptoms that have characteristics of autism.”For more, visit:ChildHealthSafety.WordPress.com.Sources:https://childhealthsafety.wordpress.comhttps://childhealthsafety.wordpress.comhttp://www.dailymail.co.ukhttp://science.naturalnews.com […]

  43. This is an excellent resource for finding the truthful history and usefulness (or lack thereof) of vaccinations. I only recently became interested in this topic. Interest will always lead you to the truth. You only have to look for it. The historical timelines of infection disease death rates clearly shows that vaccination did not save human beings from these dreadful, infectious diseases. I got into a Family and Friends Facebook debate over this recently that prompted me to start my own blog, simply so I could have a forum for outside of Facebook to continue our engagement. What I find interesting is that the anti-vaccination side is accused of drama and hype over science when in reality it is just the opposite. We are anti-vaccination because we have looked into the science. Those who are proponents of vaccines have not done the research – and when the truth is shown to them, so many of them refuse to open their minds and eyes to accept it.

Please feel free to participate on my blog and help spread the word to my own group. This is a battle that has to be won in the trenches.

  44. I’ve been looking into this for a long time and still can’t find that place of comfort with my decision to not vaccinate my three healthy girls. I stopped them getting many of their vaccinations in the past due to my doubts and concerns that they could be harmed. As this issue is so damned polarised, it seems impossible to get a clear answer to some basic practical questions I’m sure many would like answered: Is any vaccination worth getting? To the people who are ‘anti-vax’ I ask you, have you avoided many but allowed one or some? Is the theory of vaccination flawed? Or is it the toxic rubbish ‘filler’ that we need to fear, not the actual treatment itself? Is the tetanus one okay and the MMR one not? I’ve had it all in my first 5 years of life (37 now) – measles, german measles, mumps, chicken pox etc. I moved to the country and life improved significantly. Is there a point where the risk of the disease outweighs the argument to avoid the ‘cure’ as it were. Perhaps if ED could weigh in here. I’ve been watching the ping pong match for too long now between the two sides.

  48. If this were true….

…the first time someone with “mitochondrial damage” was exposed to a disease they would “get autism”.

So you need vaccines noatter what. Unless you want to get autism at the age of 20 or 30 or later. Because that’s what you’re saying happens. Catch the disease, get autism.

If no one is vaccinated, the diseases will reemerge, and people will get sick, die, *and still get autism*.

    Logic. Use some.

[ED: Edward, if you have any intelligence, it can help to use it. Just as one should not run before one can walk, you should not write before you have read. And it is not difficult – its in the headline “Vaccination Causes Autism – Say US Government & Merck’s Director of Vaccines

  52. Looking forward to more information!

  53. Excellent article.

  54. My uncle was a very smart man. He enlightened me to so many things. It is so unfortunate that people are led to disease causing chemicals by the person who they put their trust in, their doctor.

  55. you should delete this post. It’s a lie, and it does persuade really stupid people not to vaccinate their kids. Seriously, by posting this you are promoting stupidity and little children getting hurt. It is criminal to make up these bullshit stories.

[ED: What we should delete is your comment but we will not because people like you are responsible for little children getting many serious chronic illnesses from vaccines for no great benefit to them or to mankind. Vaccines are a multi-billion dollar for profit business with serious harmful effects which go unreported and claims for benefits which two centuries of health data show are unfounded:

  56. Hi
This is interesting article as I have been diagnosed with mitochondrial disorder, as have some of my family, my son presents with diagnoses of autism since 18 months after having mmr…. I would be interested in more information if possible

  57. Thanks for posting the truth…. praying for minds to open to these truths!

  58. Not doubting this article, but my son has never received any vaccines and is autistic. Both my family and my wife’s family have symptoms of Aspergers. I’ve been woke regarding vaccines for over 10 years – I’ve got no doubt that MMR causes it but clearly there are other causes.

  59. No doubt other things can cause brain and nervous system disorders. This is about risk factors, which can only be expressed in numbers, not unsubstantiated slogans like “rare”, which is all we get from the “authorities”. Adjectives and slogans do not suffice when you’re talking about risk factors for things like brain damage, epilepsy, cancer, arthritis, etc.

  60. I find it interesting that the ‘Editor’ only weighs in on comments that differ from his opinion…hardly providing a forum for open debate. An editor telling someone to ‘use their intelligence’ has totally lost my respect. If your evidence is as good as you say it is there is no need for an editor to provide biased comment.

[ED: Did your Daddy not explain that it is a bad idea to create a hostage to fortune? And a strawman one at that. All kinds of rednecks, trolls and bullies are found on the internet and they sometimes need to be dealt with. Like for example the dunderheads who comment “what a load of shit” in response to factually accurate and correct articles.

Your main criticism that answering the comments of dunderheads is “hardly a forum for open debate”. Clearly that is foolish because the comments have been published and answered so it is open debate. And anyone who thinks the response from CHS is unfair can of course comment to say so. So your main criticism is a nonsense.

Additionally, you presume to know what any particular CHS editor’s opinion might be.

You also assume that all comments should be answered or that some comments should not be. Comments which are neither contentious nor arguing with the premises of any particular CHS article clearly do not require any response.

So basically your main criticism comes down to the fact that CHS editors respond to contentious or argumentative comments regarding the issues reported in CHS articles. And you somehow manage to extrapolate that to being “hardly open debate” whereas anyone can comment on CHS. If they want to argue, they can expect to have counter-argument. Nothing prevents open debate there. But of course the internet is not made for “open debate” and CHS exists to educate. Comments are optional and at CHS Editors’ discretion. Open debate is one thing but abusive conduct entirely another.

Take for example your comment. It is not particularly well thought through. It has been posted to give the impression you have a justified grievance that CHS does not allow open debate when the evidence to the contrary is in front of everyone. So you are in reality causing mischief and deliberately so. Its just nice to be given the opportunity to spell that out so that other readers of CHS can realise and appreciate what some people do when using [abusing?] the comment facility.

We at CHS are delighted to have lost your respect. There are millions of CHS readers whose respect and admiration CHS has retained over many years. You can’t please everyone but CHS manages to please more than most.

And then you consider the comments of a CHS Editor when dealing with the various assorted rednecks etc who might leave a driveby comment without reading the article are “biased”. Well hey, if CHS Editors are in your opinion “biased” when responding sensibly to people who comment without even reading the articles they comment on, get over it.

    Have a nice day.]

  62. Please be so kind to send your factual findings as often as possible.

  63. “Dani B” is clearly very confused as to what fairness means. CHS may be wrong about some things (I reckon most (and possibly all) autism is not caused by vaccines), but at least they allow you to post here and don’t censor. By contrast, pro-corporate medicine people habitually censor and delete “misinformation”, rather than actually replying to it as here. Just now I’ve heard on the bbc some official woman hoping that “misinformation” about vaccinations can be removed. In other words she hopes to impose a fascist version of scientific “debate” that only allows her own “science” into that “debate”. She is obviously sufficiently brain-dead as to not realise that there’s no better way to lose trust than to insist that people with other views are silenced by force. Prediction: — the “misinformers” are going to wax rather than wane as a result.

  64. Thank you. We need to get the word out.

  65. Excellent article and excellent work as a public service on your blog/website. It’s clear that almost all the opposing comments didn’t read the material, can’t read, or were just paid to post opposing comments without the requirement for credibility. Meanwhile the excellent research and well-written analysis serves a broad community and is easy to send my contacts to without reservations. Thanks.

  66. Isn’t is amazing how twisted the “logic” gets? If ONE child who is unvaccinated gets autism, they translate this to “Vaccines cannot cause autism”. This is about numerical risk factors. If vaccines increase the risk of autism, cancer, diabetes, paralysis, epilepsy, etc, by a serious % then vaccines are harming the “collective” public health by that %. NOBODY is trying to say that nothing BUT vaccines can hurt people or cause disease. What the numbers show however, is that they appear to be the PRIMARY cause of most diseases and disabilities in the USA at this time. Less than 1% of entirely unvaccinated have ANY health problems OR disabilities. Compare this to our National disease rates for a 99.1% vaccinated population and you have your risk factors,….for COURT.

  68. You can always find shady results from real studies and connect them to autism, but statistics disagree with you. The following 2014 meta-analysis of studies involving around 1.2 million children confirms that vaccines are not linked to autism or ASD:
    https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0264410X14006367

[ED: Thanks. That paper [meta-analysis] is an example of GIGO – garbage in and garbage out.

Meta-analysis is not particularly successful activity. It is especially not when based on so many tobacco-science “observational studies”.

All of the papers it uses have been shown to be poor evidence.]
